Dental Health Is A Picture Of The Overall Health

“The ideal way to take care of your teeth is actually quite easy and does not require expensive,” said Chairman of the Dentistry Program of University of Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) it.

He said the most ideal way of caring for your teeth is brushing your teeth twice a day with clean and check their teeth to the dentist every six months. Thus, dental and limb will be kept awake.

Hospital Director of Dental Education (RSGMP) UMY Iwan Dewanto, said public awareness of the health of their teeth is still lacking. The new society concerned with the health of his teeth if it hurt and there are complaints.

“Public awareness of the importance of maintaining dental health is what needs to be constantly improved,” he said.

According to him free dental examinations are expected to help raise awareness for maintaining healthy teeth and body.

“People also need to be more diligent in his teeth checked. Do not just when a new toothache remember and come to the dentist,” he said.

He said dental health is also related to how and when brushing teeth. If the wrong way to brush your teeth too long period of time and it will cause disease.

“Brush your teeth right is after each meal. So how often we brush your teeth it depends how many times we eat coupled with before bed,” he said.

According to him if the rest of the food is too long on the teeth or within 6-7 hours will make it difficult food waste thrown away and will cause cavities.

In addition, if brushing teeth not too tight so that the enzyme does not erode the teeth. Brushing your teeth has two functions, namely cleaning teeth and massaging gums.

He said, gums already have defense, so if you do not brush your teeth properly will keep tooth decay.

“So, choose a soft bristle toothbrush and brush your teeth is not only back and forth but also have to go up and down,” he said.
